In the Mirror Room, you'll feel as if you've stepped into Versailles. With its sparkling chandeliers, columns, and touches of gold, this ballroom exudes pure grandeur. Over the years, it has welcomed prominent guests from both Belgium and abroad.
Follow in the footsteps of royalty and experience an unforgettable networking event, exclusive VIP dinner, inspiring presentation, or stylish reception in this mind-blowing and royal setting.
Capacity: up to 100 guests for seated dinners, 120 guests for walking dinners, 150 guests for receptions, and up to 100 guests for presentations in theater style.
The Historical Rooms
Discover the rich history of the Meir Palace with a tour through its various rooms. Start in the stairwell and be guided to the Balcony Room, the Blue Salon, the Dutch Salon, the Empress’s Salon, the Small Empire Salon, the Imperial Bedroom, the Bathroom, the Map Cabinet, and the Connecting Gallery.

Although these rooms are not available for private events, they provide a charming addition to your event—an ideal opportunity to soak in the atmosphere with a drink in hand before entering the impressive Mirror Room.

The Portrait Salon
The Portrait Salon is an elegant space on the ground floor, perfect for business meetings, intimate dinners, and inspiring pop-up concepts. When combined with the adjacent Music Salon, which also allows for dancing, this space creates a dynamic setting that perfectly suits your event.
Capacity: the Portrait Salon, together with the Music Salon, can accommodate 100 guests for seated dinners and up to 150 guests for walking dinners or receptions. Separately, this space can also be used as a meeting room or breakout room for up to 50 people.
The Music Salon
The Music Salon is a versatile room on the ground floor, perfect for business meetings, atmospheric after-drinks, or stylish dance parties.
As the only room within the Meir Palace where dancing is allowed, both for corporate and private events, this salon offers a magical ambiance and a charming setting. Here, the gathering can continue until 1:00 AM.
Capacity: the Music Salon, together with the Portrait Salon, can accommodate 100 guests for seated dinners and up to 150 guests for walking dinners or receptions.
Separately, this space can also be used as a meeting room or breakout room for up to 50 people.
The Empress’s Salon
The left wing on the first floor became the Empress's apartment after Napoleon’s renovations. Today, only one salon and the bedroom remain original. The restored blue curtains date back to the early 20th century, making them over 100 years old.
The Empress’s Salon is an intimate and stylish space, ideal as a breakout room or boardroom for smaller meetings. With its elegant décor and calm atmosphere, this room offers the perfect setting for inspiring conversations and business presentations.
Capacity: up to 24 guests for seated dinners or presentation setups.
The Courtyard
The courtyard is a unique outdoor space where you can enjoy atmospheric receptions and seated dinners in beautiful weather.
Imagine a stylish arrival by horse and carriage, intimate mini-concerts, or exclusive teambuilding activities in an enchanting setting. This outdoor venue provides the perfect addition to your event, allowing your guests to enjoy the open air.
Capacity: up to 100 guests for seated dinners, 150 guests for receptions or walking dinners, and up to 100 guests for concert setups.

HISTORY
Become part of this history
The history of Meir Palace takes us back to the mid-18th century when the wealthy merchant Johan Alexander van Susteren commissioned the construction of his dream palace on the Antwerp Meir. After him, Napoleon Bonaparte, King William I of the Netherlands, and multiple Belgian monarchs adorned and shaped this impressive building. Together with some of their renowned guests, including Tsar Alexander, Queen Victoria, Winston Churchill, and the Shah of Persia, they actively contributed to the beautiful history of this city palace—a history that still resonates today.
Today, this valuable heritage site is managed by the heritage organization Herita . As the National Trust of Flanders, Herita restores monuments and gives them a new future, together with members, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and donors. In the 21st century, the Meir Palace serves as an exclusive event space. Thus, the fascinating history of this Rococo and Empire-style gem remains not only vibrant and highly relevant but also allows everyone to enjoy its majestic grandeur, playful elegance, and unforgettable setting.
